Problem

Create innovative systems to eliminate the frustration of waiting in line at hospitals, shops, and bus stops.

Approach Details
  • Real-Time Analytics: Empower hospitals, restaurants, and other institutions with data-driven insights to streamline operations and minimize wait times.

  • Patient Convenience: Patients can effortlessly view their assigned doctors, track their waiting time, and navigate the facility with ease.

  • Seamless Communication: Enable patients to send critical information to their doctors through messaging, enhancing the quality and efficiency of consultations.

  • Smart Notifications: A Progressive Web App (PWA) delivers real-time push notifications, keeping users updated and reducing unnecessary delays.

  • Optimized Arrival Times: Provides personalized suggestions for the best arrival times, ensuring a smoother experience.

  • Adaptive Data Management: Effortlessly manage and update datasets to keep up with changing conditions and requirements.

  • QR Code Order Tracking: Allow users to monitor the exact status of their food orders, from preparation to ready-for-pickup.

  • SOS Emergency Feature: Instantly alert loved ones and nearby individuals within a 2 km radius in case of a medical emergency, ensuring timely assistance."

Solution

Leveraging a robust tech stack, including MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, to create a seamless and responsive system. Real-time data is handled with XMPP for instant updates, while a Progressive Web App (PWA) ensures users receive timely notifications. RFID technology is integrated for smart tracking, enhancing user experience with minimal friction. The entire user interface was meticulously prototyped using Figma, ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly design.

Result

Patients can effortlessly book appointments, with medical staff coordinating through a centralized dashboard to assign precise time slots, minimizing wait times. Users gain real-time insights into bus locations, allowing them to decide whether to wait or opt for alternatives like Uber or Ola. In retail environments, integrated time slots streamline checkouts, effectively reducing queues. For medical emergencies, the SOS feature ensures that loved ones and nearby individuals within a 2 km radius are instantly alerted to the user's need for immediate assistance.

  • Offline Functionality: Designed to handle scenarios where internet connectivity is unavailable, ensuring continuous service.

  • Error Mitigation: Addresses potential human errors, such as unupdated system information by bus conductors or hospital staff, to maintain system reliability.

  • SOS Feature Safeguards: Incorporates contingencies for situations where users have not granted necessary permissions, ensuring critical alerts are still delivered.
